In response to an impending protest organized by some leaders of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago Iwoye, regarding the upcoming student union election preparations, student leaders have urged their peers to stay away from the campus on Monday.
The student leaders argue that there is no valid reason for such a protest, as the preparations for electing new Student Union Government (SUG) leaders are progressing smoothly.
Student leaders to urge campus stay away
They suspect the protest’s motive is unclear and believe it may disrupt the campus’s current peaceful environment.
As a precaution, they advise students to avoid campus activities on Monday for their safety and emphasize the commitment of the Students’ Union to protecting their interests and maintaining orderliness on campus.
