Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Students in Osun protested against a fee increase at the institution.
They blocked the university’s entrance with placards demanding a minimum 50% reduction in the new charges and vowing to continue protesting until their demands are met.
Despite the institution’s announcement of a fee reduction following negotiations with the student union, the protest persisted, leaving students, staff, and stakeholders stranded at the campus gate.
The revised fees were adjusted downwards for various faculties, with payment allowed in two equal installments.
