Lagos State University (LASU) in Ojo has officially launched its newly upgraded result processing center within the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with the aim of enhancing the delivery of students’ results.
The center has been named in honor of the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello.
Prof. Toyin Enikuomehin, the Director of ICT at LASU, addressed the university’s management on Thursday, emphasizing that the center underwent improvements to boost the speed and accuracy of result processing.
He highlighted that the revamped center not only aims to enhance service delivery but also to inspire and motivate the staff members of the directorate.
Enikuomehin assured that the center would maintain a high level of security and accuracy, ensuring that no issues that could tarnish the university’s reputation would arise from it.
He also announced the immediate opening of the result portal to enable students to access their results.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello expressed her satisfaction with the successful establishment of the result processing center.
She commended the significant investments made in the university’s ICT infrastructure and anticipated that the center would contribute to prompt and fraud-free result publication.
The Vice-Chancellor acknowledged the Directorate of ICT as the backbone of the university and emphasized the importance of safeguarding the substantial financial investment made in the facility, especially in software acquisition.
She pledged her commitment to supporting the center to prevent the brain drain of ICT professionals, emphasizing that her administration would work to retain and incentivize the talents of staff members in the ICT field.
