The JAMB Equal Opportunity Group has made adjustments to the schedule of its upcoming first national conference on “Equal Opportunity of Access to Higher Education in Nigeria.”
Initially planned to take place on September 26 and 27, the conference will now be held on September 25 and 26. The central theme of the conference remains “Towards Increasing Equal Opportunity of Access to Higher Education in Nigeria.”
JAMB adjusts conference dates
The change in dates was prompted by the possibility of the Federal Government declaring September 27 as a public holiday, necessitating this adjustment to avoid any inconvenience.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) expressed regrets for any inconvenience this date change may cause and called upon various stakeholders to take note of this adjustment.
This includes heads of tertiary institutions, examination bodies such as WAEC, NECO, and the National Business and Technical Examinations Board, as well as the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies, commissioners for education, heads of Schools of Persons with Disabilities, and deans of Faculties of Education.
Others who should be aware of this change include heads of Departments of Special Education, leaders, and members of the Association of Persons with Disabilities, and the general public.
Despite the date change, all other details regarding the venue and timing of the conference remain as previously announced.
The primary objective of the conference is to enhance enrollment opportunities for individuals with disabilities within the Nigerian tertiary education system.
