In a distressing incident, a substantial number of students from the Federal University Gusau, located in Zamfara State, Nigeria, were abducted by bandits during the early hours of Friday.
The attackers, reported to be in a large group, targeted the off-campus residences of these students in the Sabon Gida village. Regrettably, the majority of those kidnapped were female students.
According to local resident Abubakar Sani, the bandit attack unfolded at approximately 4:00 am on Friday.
The assailants meticulously targeted three student hostels, instilling fear and chaos among the students.
