2023 NECO: 61% candidates score five credits in English, Mathematics, others The National Examination Council on Tuesday released the 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination internal results. According to the Registrar of the examination body, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, the result summary shows that 61.60% scored five credits, including English and Mathematics. 12,030, representing 0.07 per cent, against 13,594, representing 0.13 per cent in 2022. Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, the wife of the Governor of Ekiti State, has embarked on a community service initiative by offering to teach students of Education Management at Ekiti State University (EKSU) without charge, as part of her commitment to their development. Dr. Oyebanji, who began her academic career at EKSU and taught there for 12 years before moving to the University of Ibadan for family reasons, returned to the classroom in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday. LASUED incorporates Yoruba language in university curriculum Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) has integrated the Yoruba Language into its General Nigeria Studies (GNS) curriculum as a means of fostering the language’s preservation and encouraging its use among students. Students at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta, Ogun State, staged a protest at the school gate on Monday to express their discontent with various issues, including a recent increase in acceptance fees for newly admitted students. Niger state partners Kent University on cultural exchange The Niger state government and Kent State University in Ohio, United States have signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) for cultural exchange. Abdullberqy Ebbo, special adviser to the Niger state governor on media, announced the partnership in a statement on Wednesday.
